The Artinori Art Project was created in 2012 in order to further focus and invigorate projects dedicated to the visual arts of our time.
A project which was inspired by the idea of giving a natural continuity to the activity of art collecting which has always been part of the Antinori family tradition, but this time aiming at the arts and artists of our time. The Antinori Art project, in fact, is a series of initiatives which operate in the world of contemporary art – ones which involves important curators as well – and groups in a single coherent program all of the activities in this field.

In particular, in addition to the museum space which has been integrated into the program of visits to the cellar, one which hosts the historic family art collection, special programs - many "site specific" - of annual commissions has been begun and is aimed at already prestigious - though still young - protagonists on the national and international art scene.

These initiatives have seen, in the two-year period from 2012 to 2013, directed by curator Chiara Parisi, the involvement of artists Yona Friedman, Rosa Barba, and Jean-Baptiste Decavèle. Last year, with the arrival of Ilaria Bonacossa to direct the new two year period, has seen the involvement of Tomàs Saraceno, who created the work entitled "Biosphere 06, Cluster of 3" which was installed in the vertical space of the large internal staircase, the "Still Life Remix" exhibition, dedicated to the timeless theme of the still life, and now the installation of the work "Clessidra” ("Clepsydra") of artist Giorgio Andreotta Calò.
